Request for Project Proposals: “PRimer and prObe Manufacturing PlaTform (PROMPT)”
This opportunity, issued by the MTEC Consortium in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, seeks proposals to develop a fully automated, man-portable, ruggedized prototype for on-demand manufacturing of clinical-quality nucleic acid primers and probes in far-forward or austere environments. The period of performance is not to exceed 24 months, and the government encourages budgets commensurate with the scope and complexity of the proposed research. The system must integrate synthesis, purification, and quality control, using field-stable chemistry, and be operable by non-specialist personnel. A Proposers Conference will be held virtually on July 8th, and a Teaming Connect session on July 14th, both at 2 PM EST. No specific budget amount or performance location is specified.
