Bid Option number 1 will be for the construction of the new CMD section, area 2.

The objective of this project is to renovate vacant rooms on the 2nd floor offices of Bldg. 5616. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220-Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The contractor shall provide 95%, and 100% design drawing sets for review and final issue of construction for areas 1 and 2. Construction will consist but not limited to removing existing walls and associated doors, furnish and install new drywall partitions and doors to create new offices and meeting rooms, removing existing carpet and under padding and replacing with new carpet tiles/squares, furnish and install new electrical in the new walls and extend existing electrical receptacle boxes, install flush with new wall surfaces, install new Cat 6 phone and computer outlets, removing and modifying existing 2x2 acoustical tile ceiling and relocating existing ceiling light fixtures are required to accommodate wall partitions removed and new all partitioned installed. The contractor shall also analyze and modify existing HVAC ductwork layout to provide proper air supply and return to newly constructed rooms/offices. The contractor shall also install additional new fire protection devices, pull stations, heat detectors, and alarm devices as required to meet code for the areas created and renovated. The contractor shall also furnish and install a ventilated cabinet around existing telephone equipment panel, and paint new walls and new doors to match existing adjacent surfaces. Install new light switches with branch circuit wiring, and furnishing and installing new telephone and computer drops.
