SOURCES SOUGHT :GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED: (Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and permits, necessary to construct two CONEX-type structures, one to resemble a Navy ship and one to resemble a Navy Base shore facility, similar to a Port Operations waterfront building. Both structures shall be enclosed within a fabric netting sided structure with solid fabric roof for sun shading. Structures shall be capable of being disassembled and moved by the Government to other sites utilizing heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and/or forklifts normally used to move shipping containers. Structures will be sited on a concrete foundation 64' x 60' in place at the project site with a minimum of 15' between each unit, which will serve as a pier. The Ship will be three stories with open deck areas similar to a ship to facilitate training drills. Railing shall be installed at the edge of all exterior trafficable areas. Rappel points with anchor system shall be incorporated on the exterior of the structure. The Ship shall have spaces that represent or resemble shipboard configurations including a bridge, engine room, living quarters, galley and open deck space. The Building will be two stories with a minimally designed metal roof, painted with direct to metal industrial primer and paint. must include hallways that allow for "L", "T", and "+"4-way" type intersections, at least two interior stairwells that provide different configurations such as a single stair that feeds into a hallway and a stair set with middle landing.
