The 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Robins Air Force Base is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Synopsis—not a solicitation—to identify sources capable of repairing and overhauling C-5 Moving Island Actuators. The effort covers multiple legacy and current NSNs/part numbers for left- and right-hand inboard and outboard actuators. Because these are flight-safety-critical components, repair is restricted to approved sources, and no sources are currently prequalified. Interested parties, including large and small businesses, are encouraged to respond with a capabilities statement and survey, while unqualified sources must pursue engineering source approval through the attached Source Qualification Statement and submit a Source Approval Request package. The Government will use responses to assess market capability and interest for a potential future competitive procurement.
