Sources Sought Synopsis Synopsis: Repair Parking Lots at Buildings 52381, 36000 and 90048 The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of the potential interested small business sources for this project, the Government is considering a set aside for Socio-economic status. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. MICC-FH, may issue a solicitation and award of a contract to repair parking lots at Buildings 52381, 36000 and 90048. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is NAICS Code 237310 – Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and standard business size is $39.5 million. Description of project is as follows: The purpose of this project is to repair the parking lots at Buildings 52381, 36000, and 90048. The areas will be repaired and improved by rehabilitation and reconstruction. Rehabilitation will be a combination of 2 inch mill and overlay and base repair at specific locations. Reconstruction will be 3-in HMAC TX Dot type D, 8-inch compacted flexible base course. The work will also consist of excavating, backfilling, subgrade preparations, installing flexible base, striping, sign installation and concrete joint seal repair. All work shall comply with all State, Local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits to perform construction work on a Federal installation, be properly bonded and insured in accordance with FAR requirements. This is only the market research phase of this requirement. By no means does this sources sought mean that the Government will enter into an agreement with your agency. The Government is trying to determine if there is adequate competition in order to compete this requirement.
