Sources Sought Synopsis Synopsis: North Clarke Road C Reconstruction The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of the potential interested small business sources for this project, the Government is considering a set aside for Socio-economic status. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. MICC-FH, may issue a solicitation and award of a contract to perform road rehabilitation on “North Clarke Road C Reconstruction” from the intersection with W Tank Destroyer Boulevard at south to the Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) tank crossing near the intersection with Turkey Run Road at North, Fort Hood Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is NAICS Code 237310 – Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and standard business size is $39.5 million. Description of project is as follows: The purpose of this project is to perform road rehabilitation as included but not limited to: the demolition and disposal of the existing asphaltic concrete pavement, excavate to construct a new road structure consisting of a new 3 in. Surface Course Type “C” of Hot- Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC) over a 4 in. Type “B” HMAC Base Course over a 12 in. Aggregate Base Course. Additional traffic signs, Thermoplastic reflective pavement markings & symbols with reflectorized pavement markers (RPMs) are to be installed within the project’s limits. This segment of Clarke Road will not include the development of a bike lane. All work shall comply with all State, Local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits to perform construction work on a Federal installation, be properly bonded and insured in accordance with FAR requirements. This is only the market research phase of this requirement. By no means does this sources sought mean that the Government will enter into an agreement with your agency. The Government is trying to determine if there is adequate competition in order to compete this requirement.
