This requirement is to provide hardware equipment and services inclusive of upgrades, maintenance, repair, spares, system engineering, integration, installation, and testing of the various ARES and ARES-based systems. The ARES systems were developed as a family of wideband, Digital RF Memory (DRFM) radar simulators to support both ground and airborne radar system Test and Evaluation (T&E). The ARES systems provide critical ground testing resources required for comprehensive installed systems testing of Navy and DoD platforms. The ARES and ARES-based systems are currently supporting the Air Combat Environment Test & Evaluation Facility (ACTEF) mission as a national Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB) asset. Example programs supported with ARES include, but are not limited to F/A-18, EA-18G, and F-35.
