MDA’s Mobile Land-Based Sensors Project Office is seeking innovative prototype concepts for the Forward-Based Mode (FBM) Radar Next, to be solicited under the existing NOBLE multiple-authority announcement and OTA authority for prototype projects. The objective is to rapidly develop, demonstrate, and evaluate advanced radar prototypes that provide enhanced early warning, tracking, and discrimination of emerging missile threats. The effort focuses on designing and prototyping a highly mobile, rapidly deployable sensor system that integrates into the existing missile defense architecture to counter complex, high-speed, maneuverable threats including ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles. The Government encourages collaborative teaming among primes, non-traditional defense contractors, and small businesses, with offerors expected to bring meaningful resource alignment, co-investment, or shared performance risk.
