Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action as Required by FAR 5.201 The work to be performed under the Proposed Contract Action shall consist of engineering, furnishing, installing, and testing (EFI&T) new 36 strand, single mode (SM) fiber optic cable (FOC) from Information Transfer Building (ITB) 1101 to ITB 6901 to include any necessary ducting, innerduct, Manholes, Handholes, and Pull Boxes at Keesler Air Force Base (KAFB), as specified in the Statement of Objectives (SOO). *** The Proposed Contract Action will involve Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The Solicitation, once issued, will include DFARS Provision 252.204-7019 and DFARS Clause 252.204-7020 implementing NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Requirements.*** This acquisition will be conducted as a Total Small Business Set Aside, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested Small Business sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238210. The size standard is $16.5 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the SAM Website: https://sam.gov on/or around 11 Feb 2022 with a tentative closing date of 14 Mar 2022. The contract performance period will be 120 days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DoD Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM Registration may be accomplished online at https://www.sam.gov/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DoD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
