NO FINAL SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS EXIST AT THIS TIME. This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) will take procurement action in this matter. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in furnishing this information. In support of USMC Environmental Control Equipment (ECE) requirements, MCSC is interested in understanding industry's capability to design and produce a Variable Environmental Control Unit (VECU) with a capability that focuses on improving British Thermal Unit (BTU) Tonnage output with a reduced power consumption and are optimized to be powered by existing United States Marine Corps (USMC) mobile electric power, the Advanced Medium Mobile Power Systems (AMMPS) and USMC electric distribution systems, the Mobile Electric Power Distribution System – Replacement (MEPDIS-R). The VECU will need to use a Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO), a Low Global Warming Potential (LGWP) refrigerant rated at 750 or less and non-polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
