The Organic Precision Fires - Dismounted (OPF-D) provides the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) with an organic, loitering, beyond line-of-sight, and precision strike capability. Marines will employ OPF-D at the tactical level to enable rapid engagement of armored threats beyond the range of direct fire weapons while minimizing collateral damage and exposure to enemy direct and indirect fires during distributed operations. The OPF-D will be transported via a variety of host vehicles. The OPF-D will support dismounted forces through provisions to unload a single self-contained All-Up-Round (AUR) capable of launching munitions from the ground. The dismounted OPF capability will increase the target engagement capability by providing an Anti-Armor destruction capability at ranges beyond enemy detection and engagement ranges.
