Program Manager Communication Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), is seeking industry input that identifies potential sources for Link-16 systems suitable for use by Marine Corps ground forces, herein called Ground Link-16 (the name of the actual project is in development, pending official requirement transition). The goal of this RFI is to identify Link-16 terminals (i.e., Defense Information Systems Activity-compliant radio-transmitters and associated/integrated cryptographic systems that allow the transmission and reception of J-series messages), and a host (i.e., a command and control system or application that provides for message formatting and processing). Both the terminal and host components of the Ground Link-16 systems will support command and control, and fire support warfighting functions for Marine Corps ground-based organizations, exclusive of aviation-ground systems.
