The Organic Precision Fires (OPF) provides the Fleet Marine Force with an organic, loitering, beyond line-of-sight precision engagement capability. Marines will employ OPF at the tactical level to enable rapid engagement of armored threats beyond the range of direct fire weapons while minimizing collateral damage and exposure to enemy direct and indirect fires. OPF munitions will be capable of being launched from a host vehicle and ground launched in a self-contained configuration. OPF-Mounted will be vehicle mounted onto the Light Armored Vehicle-Mortar (LAV-M) and Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). OPF-Dismounted will be fired from the ground and transported via the Ultra-Light Tactical Vehicle (ULTV).
