The Contracting Officer determined, using FAR 13.104, posting on FBO would promote competition to the maximum extent that would be most advantageous to the Government after reviewing our market research and prior procurement history. Q - I do not see any details about lunch, or fifteen (15) minute breaks. Is the vendor required to eat their meal during the training? A - Preferable class time: Class Start Time: 08:00/Two 10 ~ 15 Min Breaks in AM/Lunch Time: 11:30 - 13:00/One or Two 10 ~ 15 min Break(s) in PM/Class End Time: 1630 The vender can utilize the lunch time to eat their meal. Q - Can the vendor's support staff consist of three (3) trainers, with paid travel included? A - For Train the Trainer/Certification Courses, it is possible (with the price all-inclusive in the contracted amount) . Q - Can the government recommend lodging locations for this opportunity in Japan? A - We recommend those commercial hotels in Mihama, Chatan Area which are close by to the training site (Camp Foster). An instructor with a valid Retired Military ID Card, can stay at the government quarters when rooms are available. Q - In addition, other than the DoD Instruction 1400.25 Vol 410 - DoD Civilian Personnel Management Systems: Training, Education, and Professional Development. Can the government provide previous commercial books that were used by vendors? A - No Q - Would it be the same 25 students or ay crossover between Class 1 and Class 2? A - Some Students may attend Class 1&2 Q - Will these classes be taught in English? Or will there be a need for an English to Japanese interpreter? A - Classes need to be provided in English. The class is targeted for US Civ/Military supervisors and leaders (English Native speaking personnel.) Q - With such a quick turnaround until the preferred delivery date, when do you expect this to be awarded? A - No later than 7 days from the solicitation close date.
