The US Marine Corps Pacific Command (MCIPAC) RCO is seeking written responses with information to assist the Government in identifying potential sources that are interested in and capable of providing services specific to handling hazardous materials and waste. The contractor will utilize three Government-owned facilities located on Camp Kinser and Camp Hansen to unload material from shipping containers; input material receipt information into an assigned Government software package; print/label individual hazardous items; store hazardous material; stow re-use/new Government-owned hazardous material; issue re-use/new Government-owned material; transport/deliver hazardous material to units located on Marine Corps and Navy installations on the island of Okinawa (to include Ie Shima); conduct locker/container inspections; provide waste containers with proper markings/labels; transport hazardous waste products to the Government-owned facilities; prepare documentation for disposal and coordinate disposal actions with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) – Disposition Services. The objective is to have a DOD/EPA/Japan Environmental Governing Standards-compliant program operating in Okinawa.
