Marine Corps Communication and Electronic School (MCCES) requires Safari Books Online (Safari Library) that MCCES will have access to over 50,000 online technical books and over 6,000 videos in one fully searchable database. Safari Books Online is an on-demand digital library that delivers expert content in both book and video form from the world’s leading authors in technology and business and ability to manage student access. The electronic books must align to the NAVMC 3500.56D Communications Training and Readiness (T&R) Manual. Having the Safari Library allow instructors to deliver electronic curriculum to students in a collaborative and or distant learning environment in accordance with Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), Commandant’s Planning Guidance (CPG) and Training Command and Education Command (TECOM) directive to employee modern 21st Century Learning education, training, active learning, student-centric, and active instruction techniques and methods. The electronic instructional and refine books will be used across the entirety of Combating Terrorism Branch (CTB) program of instructions to include the Communication Training Center (CTC) courses. These books can be accessed on the internet through Safari Books Online. Up to three books can be downloaded to a tablet for offline viewing which will help the students while troubleshooting. This will allow MCCES to have up to 200 students using the account and is able to remove access from one student and transfer it to another without any additional cost. This is intended to be used for the officer and SNCO students in Delta Company. MCCES requires a Period of Performance (POP) from 04 September 2022 through 03 March 2028, which includes a base year and four option years with an optional 6-month extension of services in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-8. Interested contractors may submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement.
