PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Contracting Department, Marine Corps Installations East (MCIEAST), Camp Lejeune, NC has a requirement to procure one (1) brand name or equivalent Ditch Witch HX30A vacuum excavator unit and one (1) VT14 500 Gallon Standard Trailer. The trailer will have at a minimum, rear work lights and global positioning system (GPS). It is the Government’s intent to issue a firm fixed price contract. The proposed acquisition will be 100% small business set-aside. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333120. The NAICS Industry Description is Construction Machinery Manufacturing (Excavators (e.g. power shovels) manufacturing). The Government will solicit and award this contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). This Pre-Solicitation Notice is not a request for quotes. The Solicitation (M6700125Q1072) will be posted on or about 15 days after this posting is made available on the Contract Opportunities portal located at https://www.sam.gov/. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor the website for the solicitation and any associated amendments. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database, @ https://www.sam.gov/, is required for entities to do business with and receive funds from the federal Government. Businesses will be assigned a Commercial and Government Entities (CAGE) Code & a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number via the SAM website.
