PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Contracting Department, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina has a requirement for a Contractor Owned Parts Store (COPARS). The contractor shall be responsible for providing all parts and onsite store operations. The requirement will be for a base and four (4) twelve-month option years to be exercised at the discretion of the Government. It is the Government’s intention to issue a Time and Materials contract to satisfy this requirement. The proposed acquisition will be Unrestricted (Full and Open Comptetition). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 336310. The NAICS Industry Description is Motor Vehicle Gasoline Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. The Government will solicit and award this contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR subpart 16.6 (Time-and-Materials, Labor-Hour, and Letter Contracts). This synopsis is not a request for quotes. This Sources Sought Notice is intended to identify providers to support a Contractor Operated Parts Retail Store (COPRS) requirement in support of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Lejeune Motor Transportation Division aboard Camp Lejeune, NC 28547. The Government is seeking sources to support the following: -Provide two or three personnel to run the onsite store. -Personnel will need to be Parts Specialists. They will buy for 600 heavy and light duty vehicles. -Ability to locate parts and get them delivered in a timely manner. -Ability to have certain parts fabricated due to the aged fleet. -Ability to have regularly distributed items on hand in the store for quick turnaround. -Provide backordered item(s) update at a moment’s notice to Contract Officer Representative (COR). -Ability to work with Government personnel and contracted mechanics.
