Request for Information Marine Corps Installations East-Regional Contracting Office Camp Lejeune, NC Military Airfield Rotating Beacon •1. GENERAL INFORMATION. This Request for Information (RFI) initiates market research under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The information herein only initiates communication with industry in order to assess the ability for small business to support. No solicitation document exists at this time. This RFI constitutes no Government obligation to procure these items or issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government has no obligation to pay for information received from this RFI and will not accept any responses as offers. Vendors should mark any proprietary information clearly and appropriately. •2. PURPOSE. The minimum salient characteristics for this item are as follows: •- Rotating beacon •- Clear double flash and green single flash beam with double drums •- 6 or 12rpm, 120v, 60hz •- Cast aluminum or steel housing •- 24 inch reflector and hinged lensed door •- Clear and green lens •- Drum 400 watt high output pulse-start metal halide lamp •- Metal halide light source •- All parts FAA approved components The Marine Corps will use the results of this announcement to determine whether to solicit this requirement on an unrestricted basis, or to set aside for small businesses. •3. SUBMISSION REQUEST. There is no response page limit. Responses may include any advertising or marketing information. Vendors deciding to submit competition sensitive or proprietary information bear sole responsibility for marking the information for appropriate safeguarding. Please include the following information in the response: Company Name: Cage Code & DUNS: Business size for NAICS 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, size standard 1,250 employees. Indicate whether the company is 8(a) certified, disabled veteran-owned, veteran-owned, woman-owned, HUB Zone, Native American, or any other Small Business Administration approved designation. Material Description. The vendor must identify its ability to provide the required item. Reponses to the RFI are due no later than 3:00 PM (EST), 15 April 2019 via email at allison.davis@usmc.mil. •4. PROPRIETARY DATA The Government may use information received from this RFI to establish future Marine Corps requirements. Vendors deciding to submit competition sensitive or proprietary information bear sole responsibility for marking the information for appropriate safeguarding. Proprietary information will be protected from unauthorized disclosure as required by Subsection 27 of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act as amended (41 U.S.C. 423), as implemented in the FAR.
