14 August 2019: Solicitation 29 July 2019 (Synopsis): This will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The Government will solicit (M6700119Q0031) and award this contract using FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to award the quoter who represents the Best Value to the Government. Best Value will be determined by a review of quoters' responses to the evaluation criteria provided in the solicitation. Award will be issued on a firm fixed price contract on an all, or none basis. The requirement is 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 337124. The request for quotation (RFQ) documents and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2019-03, effective 12 June 2019 and DFARS Change Notice (DCN) 20190628, effective 28 June 2019. The solicitation will be available for download via the electronic data interchange at FedBizOps, www.fbo.gov, on or about 8 August 2019. It is the responsibility of the quoter to continually view the website for the solicitation and any amendments. Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov , and agree to implement the Department of Defense web-based software application Wide Area Workflow at https://wawf.eb.mil/xhtml/unauth/home/login.xhtml. 15 July 2019: In addition to the questions on 12 July 2019 the following questions have been asked and answers are provided as follows: Question #1: Will all be delivered during the same timeframe? Answer #1: No, there are multiple barracks so it will most likely take several days based on the vendor's transportation capabilities. Question #2: Are there elevators, or stair carry on site? Answer #2: No elevators. Chairs will have to be hand-carried upstairs. Question #3: Are all being delieverd to the same location, or close proxity? Answer #3: Four barracks are on the same street and one other is within a mile on Camp Lejeune. The other barracks are on Marine Corps Air Station New River, which is approximatley fifteen miles from Camp Lejeune. Question #4: Will contractor have access to all the buildings the chairs will be delivered to? Answer #4: Yes. 12 July 2019: The following questions were received for this requirement: Question #1: Could you provide the manufacture and model number or a picture of the stool you are requesting? Answer #1: The Government currently has the Sauder model 702-0651 chair. Question #2: Easily converts into a floor rocker, or 3-position seat with Approximately 0, 20 and 35 degree tilt base with table/stool unit. Is it meant to read as "stable/stool unit"? Answer #2: The seat detachs from the base, which is jsut a flat surface that could function as a table, which is why the specification says table/stool unit.
