This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Regional Contracting Office (RCO), Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan (MCASI) in support of Fire Department. Objective: This RFI is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of the RCO market research to determine the capability of industry to provide all services, as needed, to include the necessary labor, materials, facilities, equipment, and transportation to provide all necessary Inspection, Testing and Maintenance (ITM) services that are required at different periods and intervals for various types of fire department tools and equipment. MCAS Iwakuni Fire & Emergency Services and Crash Fire Rescue/ Airport Rescue and Firefighting (FES), requires an ITM for Mobile Live Fire training Props, Electro-Hydraulic Extrication Equipment, and Breathing Air Compressors. Each item has separate ITM requirements throughout the year. These ITM includes functional inspections, periodic inspection and preventive maintenance; These ITM allows the equipment to function properly and prolong the life of each item and provide a measure of safety for the user. A copy of the DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached as reference. This RFI is solely for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a request for quotation or request for proposal, and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government to acquire any products or services. No award will be made as a result of this RFI. All responses received in response to this RFI will be treated as information only. All question must be submitted via email at hiroyuki.takeda.ja@usmc.mil and naoko.nitta.ja@usmc.mil no later than 02 Nov 2022. 3:00 PM (Japan Standard Time). The MCASI RCO will not reimburse all expenses associated with the development, and submission of materials in response to this RFI or use of such information. The information provided may be used by the RCO in developing and/or enhancing its acquisition strategy and performance work statement. Any information that the Respondent considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned, including any proprietary information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The purpose of publicizing notice for potential actions is to increase competition, to broaden industry participation in meeting Government requirements. Request for Capabilities Statements: The response must not exceed 10 pages with a Times New Roman, 12-point font with at least Top, Bottom, Left, Right - 1" margins. Each page of the package should be printable on 8 ½” x 11” paper. Submission of Information: It is requested that the capabilities packages be completed and submitted no later than November 4, 2022 by 07:00 am Japan Standard Time (JST).
