Briefly the requirement is: A.1 The Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), San Diego, CA is required to provide washers and dryers for the use of the recruits and the permanent personnel living in the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ). The intent of this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Requirements contract is for the Contractor to provide contractor owned continually functioning washer and dryer systems for Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA. Historically there have been approximately 15 service calls per week. There are approximately 5000 Recruits/ Marines that use these appliances. It is estimated it would take 250 appliances to fulfill this requirement. The appliances are located in approximately 26 locations and on all floors of each building. These buildings do not have elevators so all appliances must be delivered/serviced using stairs. As a result of consolidating contracting activities at Marine Corps installations or with other Department of Defense organizations, increased or decreased requirements may result. The Government reserves the right to add or delete requirements for washer and dryer lease and maintenance of the barracks at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California
