Section 8(a) Competitive Acquisition Synopsis The Marine Corps Installations West – Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton (MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN) Regional Contracting Office (RCO) has a requirement to provide Contracted Maintenance Support (CMS) for Mobile Equipment Maintenance, Supply and Technical Support Services located at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, CA and Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) 29 Palms, CA. The period of performance is expected to begin 9 December 2020. The anticipated procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via beta.SAM (www.beta.SAM.gov) on or around 20 August 2020 for this requirement. This is not a request for responses. This announcement is a pre-solicitation notice only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued as a 100% competitive 8(a) set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is NAICS 811310 - Heavy Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services. 8(a) eligibility to participate may be restricted in either the developments stage or transitional stages. Interested 8(a) participants are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation, if and when a solicitation is available, as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation may be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Information on registering in SAM may be obtained at http://sam.gov. When available, the solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible via beta.SAM.
