This equipment has never been tested and the Marines of 3DRadio Battalion have never been trained on all of the capabilities this equipment can provide. The upcoming exercise Corvus Dawn in August of 2022 is the best opportunity to test this equipment insupport of force design and will provide the most dynamic environment any unit in the Marine Corps has been able to operate in to date. Essentially, this equipment is the most advanced signals collection equipment in the Marine Corps but the Marines have not been trained on the utilization of its ful lcapability. Corvus Dawn will take place all over Oahu and will provide the most dynamic signals training environment to date. This training will be in a mobile setting as III MEF Operates around Oahu and therefore the Government cannot use a permanent infrastructure. 3D Radio Battalion owns the equipment needed to create the this signals training environment but does not have the expertise to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the equipment in an active signals environment, therefore requires procurement of technical training and operational support to ensure 3d RadioBattalion, as part of the Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR), has the capability to meet the 2030 ForceDesign requirements of mobile readiness.
