The Environmental Compliance and Protection Division at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) requires a 600 foot permanent boom to allow for spill response operation capability. Permanent oil containment booms are heavy duty solid float booms that are specially designed as permanent floating barriers to provide long-term service and are put into place by a skilled team using a mooring system such as anchors and land lines. The required fence boom shall meet the following minimum salient characteristics: 1) Floating capability 2) Provide a physical barrier to oil 3) Material - plastic, metal or other materials capable of significantly spreading and containing an oil spill. 4) 600 feet in Length Refer to the attached RFQ for full requirements. Quoters should refer to the the Addendums to FAR 52.212-1 and FAR 52.212-2 for submission requirements and details.
