The Environmental Compliance and Protection Division at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) requires 600 feet of permanent boom to allow for spill response operations. The fence boom will act as a barricade to prevent foreign contaminants such as fuel oil from entering the surrounding waters of MCBH. The fence booms required are heavy duty solid float boom specially designed as a permanent floating barrier, allowing for long-term service. The fence boom shall meet the minimum salient characteristics: Floating capability Made of plastic, metal or other physical materials that demonstrate the ability to slow and contain the spread of oil Length = 600 feet in total The solicitation is expected to be available on beta.Sam on or around 20 August 2021.
