REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Weapons Field Training Battalion at Marine Corps Base Quantico is in need of a certified technician (preventive and corrective maintenance) to perform the following on machinist equipment: Perform annual preventative maintenance on Mills, Surface Grinder, Manual Lathe, Hydraulic Press, Vertical Bandsaw, Horizontal Bandsaw, Drill Press, Media Blast Cabinet, Cartridge Dust Collector, Laser Engraver, Hydraulic Sheer, and Manual Lathe. Please see the attached list for itemized breakdown of equipment. As a minimun, the below PM tasks are requested. Interested vendors must specify what task from this list they are certified and able to perform. Interested vendors must specify if they are capable of any additional PM tasks to perform on this equipment not previously mentioned on this list. Inerested vendors must provide proof of current certifications and relevent previous job history performing similar tasks. Change oil, filter and belts Lubricate system and clean as necessary to be qualified as working properly. Adjust Gibs Check levels and alignment Inspect general machine function Inspect and calibrate Digital Read Out Inspect and rectify backlash Inspect drawbars Inspect spindle key/alignment screw Inspect lathe spindle bearings
