AMENDMENT #1 The United States Marine Corps is purchasing 736 Sets of Mounted Anodized Medals for the US Marine and the US Navy personnel, respectively, in support of the Honor Guard and ceremonial events. Sets of Mounted Anodized Medals Salient Characteristics: Order of Precedence: Medals will be mounted in order of precedence, in accordance with the MCO 1020.34h (Chapter 5, paragraph 5102) Marine Corps Uniform Regulation, at https://www.marines.mil/portals/1/Publications/MCO%201020.34H%20v2.pdf?ver=2018-06-26-094038-137 Mounting: Each individual medal shall be mounted to a firm, hard backing to prevent creasing and unnecessary movement of the medals when worn. The firm backing affixed to each medal will not be thicker than 3/16ths of an inch, per enclosure (1). Appearance: When worn, the medals shall appear stationary against the uniform, with minimal movement as individuals partake in marching and drill sequences, per enclosure (2). Packaging: Each set of medals shall be packaged to provide adequate protection for shipment, and to prevent creasing or deformity of the ribbon portion during shipping, per enclosure (3). Sets: Must follow the specific quantity for each set of medals, per enclosure (4). Medals Manufacturing Requirements: All medals must be from any of The Institute of Heraldry (TIOH) ceritified manufactures, see a list of TIOH certified manufacturers at https://tioh.army.mil/Catalog/VendorList.aspx (Note: quoters do not have to be on the list. But must purchase the medals from the listed certified manufacturers) Quality Assurance: To be considered for award, quoters must provide references and pictures that demonstrate their mounting, appearance, packaging, and specify their TIOH certified manufacturer supplier .
