Question 13) I just found out from our mount maker that the objects requiring a display mount (all flight helmets) have already been slated for display stands as part of a larger contract for casework/mounts for the new Museum expansion. Therefore, they do not require display stands as part of this contract. Our mount maker is the same company the Museum is using for the new galleries. Answer 13) At this time, the Government cannot provide an addenda to remove the inclusion of display mounts for the flight helmets. The Subject Matter Experts for exhibit mounting are unavailable on such short notice. If display mounts are intended to be made through a separate exhibit fabrication contract, they will not be included in the task order for conservation of the flight helmets.
