This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Subpart 8.4 Federal Supply Schedules and FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) – soliciting from a single source. This requirement is for F5 BIG-IP. Per DFARS 208.7402, departments and agencies shall fulfill requirements for commercial software and related services, such as software maintenance, in accordance with the DoD Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI). As such, DoD ESI is the mandatory source for software and software maintenance agreements. The USMC Regional Contracting Office (RCO) – Marine Corps Installations-National Capital Region (MCI-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to Carahsoft Technology Corp., 11493 Sunset Hills Rd, Reston, VA 20190 under DoD ESI N66001-23-A-0049 authorized small business dealers for F5 Networks, Inc. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to anarosa.manavi@usmc.mil no later than 26 April 2024, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Late responses will not be considered.
