THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE is being issued by the Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). NSWCPD intends to request on a sole-source basis Commercially-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) material from General Electric (GE) for LM2500+ parts with long lead times to be used in support of the repair of U.S. Navy LM2500+ Gas Generator Assemblies (GGAs) and Power Turbine Assemblies (PTAs). These materials requested are to be fulfilled by GE on the basis that General Electric Company, General Electric Aircraft Engines (GE), as the original designer and manufacturer of the LM2500+parts, owns the data rights and is therefore the only source that is capable of providing the supplies to fulfill the agency’s requirement. The items being purchased are replacement components as follows: BLADE, HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE ROTOR, STAGE 1, PN L47459G06, qty. 10 LUBE & SCAVENGE PUMP, PN L44500P14, qty. 1 HYDRAULIC PUMP AND VSV SERVOVALVE, PN L44569P38, qty. 1 CABLE, GAS GENERATOR ACCELEROMETER, PN L48111P01 qty. 2 TUBE, BLEED AIR (NO. 7 BEARING), PN L51199G01, qty. 1 HARNESS, ELECTRICAL, SPEED SENSORS, PN L48118P01, qty. 2 BLADE, HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE ROTOR, STAGE 1, PN L47459G06, qty. 10 This posting is intended as a market research tool being used to determine potential firms capable of providing the supplies described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition. Response to this request does not constitute a contract with the Government and is intended for informational purposes only. Interested firms shall provide a capabilities statement detailing their ability to meet the requirement inclusive of the firm's name, business size and NAICs code. All responses must be sent to Karen Johnson, karen.g.johnson17.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 4:00 PM on 6 June 2023, with the subject line “RFI for LM2500 + LLTM.” Responses received by any form other than by email or those provided after the response date will not be accepted.
