The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the ability to build explosion proof articulating boom lifts. The projected quantities of required Explosion Proof (EX) lifts, Class 1, Division 1 articulating aerial lifts are as follows subject to change: 45 Foot – 9 each The lifts are not military unique. The lifts are commercial JLGs that are modified to meet OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.307 Hazardous (classified) locations and 29 CFR 1926.407 Hazardous (classified) locations (meeting both are required), and 29 CFR 1910.107 Spray finishing using flammable and combustible materials. The lifts must be Explosion Proof (EX) Class I, Division 1 rated. Per 29 CFR 1926.449, Class 1, Division 1 location is one with ignitable concentrations of flammable gases or vapors because of repair or maintenance operations. Each explosion proof (EX) is to have: Fall Arrest Platform, Yellow Soft Touch System, Foam Filled Tires, and Explosive Proof LED Task Lighting. The purchase price shall include delivery, all listed accessories/options, and warranty. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to deliver lifts to Robins Air force Base.
