The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, is seeking sources that can provide Access Control for 6 (six) doors for use in LeMay Center on Maxwell AFB in accordance with the attached "draft" Statement of Requirements (SOR) (see Attachment 1). All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: 1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought synopsis, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought. 2. If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. 3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. 4. Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this sources sought. To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information: 1. GENERAL INFORMATON: a. Company name, address, point of contact, voice and fax telephone numbers and e-mail address. b. Type of business, (i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc.), under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561621, which contains a size standard of $20,500,000. CAGE Code and DUNS Number. c. Under which NAICS code does your company usually provide the requirements described in the attached SOR. Please provide rationale for your answer if different from NAICS 561621. d. Please describe any customary commercial contract terms or conditions that you feel would make any resulting contract more effective if applicable. 2. CAPABILITIES: The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources interested in providing the items identified in the attached draft SOR. Please address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements contained in the attached "draft" SOR: a. Please answer yes or no, if your company is capable of fulfilling this requirement. b. If your company can meet this requirement please provide a response to the following questions: i. Is your company capable of providing the "brand name" specific items specified in the SOR? Please answer yes or no. ii. If your company can provide an "or equal" product that will meet the minimum specifications listed in the attached SOR, please provide the product name, and specifications. b. If your company can meet this requirement please provide a yes or no response, to the following questions in regards to the non-manufacturer rule: i. Please provide the socioeconomic status of your business? ii. If your company is a small business will your company manufacturer the items? Please answer Yes or No. iii. "Draft" SOR Attachement 1 STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM IN BLDG 1406 SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT. This requirement is for Keyscan Access Control components on six additional doors in bldg. 1406. There is already a Keyscan Access Control System in place for 25 doors throughout the building; this requirement is to expand the existing system. This will include equipment, installation, programming, and training, to provide a full functional system. 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. 2.1 Keyscan CA8500 8-reader Door Control or equal for 6 additional Doors. Or equal door control reader must be compatible with the existing Keyscan equipment. 2.2 Keyscan CA8500 Network Communication or equal Board for 6 additional doors. Or equal board must be compatible with the existing Keyscan equipment. 2.3 Source Code must be provided 30 days after contract award date. 3.0 TRAINING. The contractor shall provide on-site training for a minimum of six (6) people to use and program the system. 4.0 GENERAL INFORMATION. All equipment must be new; no refurbished or resealed parts.
