The Solicitation has been extended to 8/15/2022 at 11:00am EST to accommodate. ** ** AMENDMENT 3: Edited 8/5/2022 This requirement has been changed to a Small Business Set-Aside per Philip MacLean in the Small Business Office. There has also been a requirement change with the Gaylord bins no longer being on this contract. All questions answered by the COR have been added to the current attached RFQ on page 5. All documents have been updated and please resubmit your quotes according to the current updated RFQ and Schedule of Items. The Solicitation has been extended to 8/12/2022 at 11:00am EST to accommodate. Questions asked by vendors and answered by the COR: 1. Q. Our company uses a shred method known as “Pierce and tear” that produces irregular finished pieces: 5” x 1 ½” or smaller. A. That shredding style described by the contractor is fine. 2. Q. All non paper such as media would have to be kept in a separate bin to handle either onsite or offsite at an additional cost. Example microfilm needs to be taken offsite to incinerate. A. We needed to include a catch-all in the contract terminology just in case we ran into irregular items we can’t shred ourselves. We are able to do hard drives, phones, and items of that sort. If they do include an increase of cost when encountered, that is fine. Please included the price of such items in the quote. 3. Q. We don’t include weight any longer since it was so inaccurate. A. Totally understandable on not including any weights on certificates of destruction. As long as we have a bin count, that should be more than satisfactory. We can come up with a catchall weight per bin on our end if need be. 4. Q. Are we are delivering 70-95 bins but we are only quoting 30 bins a month or biweekly? And all the shredding will be done at one location (8899 East 56th Street Indianapolis, IN 46249) correct? Since there are two locations listed as delivery sites or just quote everything normally. A. We are wanting to have up to 30 bins shredded biweekly; not monthly. The 70-95 bins are required because DFAS wants to keep extra bins on hand just in case we have most bins filled to have shredded at 8899 East 56th Street Indianapolis, IN 46249.** ** AMENDMENT 2: Edited 7/26/2022 due to questions pending answers from the COR. Vendors will also provide 95 gallon shred bins (or equivalent). Contractor to provide confidential on-site destruction of sensitive material to protect customer from identity theft, in accordance with the following laws and regulations: -The Privacy Act of 1974 -The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 -The Data Protection Act of 1998 -DFAS Regulation 5200.1-R (Information Security) -DFAS Regulation 5205.1 (Operations Security)
