The proposed acquisition will p... The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Inc. (RRMNA). The proposed acquisition will provide for services for lifecycle, modernization, and in-service support for the Rolls-Royce MT-30 Marine Gas Turbine Engines and its related shipboard auxiliary systems on all applications used throughout the U.S. Navy. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Inc. (RRMNA) is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy’s requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), "Only One Responsible Source." THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
