The Architect-Engineer (A-E) shall perform field reconnaissance, studies, site investigations,and a preliminary design meeting with the users, including travel and work required to obtain engineeringinformation and design data to produce contract documents for this project. The Base Civil Engineering ProjectManager will assist in scheduling design meetings. The fire suppression and fire alarm systems in building 580 are out of date. AFFF must be replaced with non-foam fire suppression to meet DAF requirements in the Sundown Policy for Foam Fire Suppression Systems Memo. Building 580 is a 6 bay vehicle storage facility for aircraft refueling vehicles. The historical drawings for this building are inaccurate and do not include the expansion from a 4 to 6 bay vehicle storage, field investigation and measurement will be paramount to the success of this design.
