The modification was requested due to a surge in requirements for the repair of engine parts due to the Army Depots no longer repairing these items. As part of the Market Research requirements for the J&A, a Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought was posted on SAM.gov. on 19 December 2022 with five (5) responses. Post the RFI process, a Notice of Intent to Sole Source was posted on SAM.gov on 29 December 2022 with no responses.
