DESCRIPTION OF ACTION: This is a Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition to include a sole source (brand name) specification for a Monaco Model “BT-XFH EN” transceiver in a solicitation under W911KB20D0022 for FTG245 Repair Communication & Fire Systems B1928, B1929, B111 Fort Greely, Alaska. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal under a SATOC resulting in a new firm-fixed price construction task order to be awarded with SRM funds. The Monaco Model “BT-XFH EN” transceiver is used in all military construction projects on Fort Greely in order to ensure seamless reporting to the central Monaco D-12 supervising station at the Fort Greely Fire Station. Market research included a notice of intent for sole source item posted on the Sam website (https://sam.gov/) and an internet search for the Monaco Model “BT-XFH EN transceiver. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES: This Justification for the inclusion of a brand name specification for the Monaco Model “BRT-XFH EN transceiver. Fort Greely has standardized the system on the installation, requiring that all new construction specify installation of only the Monaco Model “BT-XFH EN” transceiver. The use of the Monaco Model “BT-XFH EN” transceiver is critical to the Government.
