This Justification and Approval is for the procurement for an emergency requirement of 48,000 U.S. Gallons (USG) of Turbine Fuel, Aviation (JP8) for Mielec Airport via tank truck in support of operations from the 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC). The order/contract number was awarded on 15 February 2022 with a value of $63,360 under purchase order SPE61022P0860 for 16,000 USG but modified the same day to increase the quantity to 48,000 for a value of $190,080.00. The period of performance of 18 February 2022. This J&A has been approved and publicized after award, in accordance with FAR 6.303-1(e). Due to the unusual and compelling nature of this requirement, preparation and approval of this J&A prior to award would have unreasonably delayed the acquisition.
