The Environmental Security Technology Services (ESTS) contract provides support services for executing environmental work for NAVFAC EXWC and its Navy, Marine Corps, and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) customers, worldwide. The emphasis of the required support includes: Technology Implementation, Technical Consultation, Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation, Administrative Support, Range Cleanup, Sustainability, and Management, Site Operation and Maintenance, Climate Change Initiative, Sustainability, Natural Resources, and Training. The ESTS Contract is the primary IDIQ contract used by the Environmental Restoration Division (EV3) for executing environmental work for EXWC and its customers. Without an adequate contract support vehicle in place, NAVFAC EXWC will be unable to support the implementation of innovative remediation technologies and approaches, which is crucial to successful cleanup and closure of the Navy’s legacy contaminated sites. A break in contract services could negatively impact our customer’s ability to fulfill environmental regulatory requirements. Therefore, a bridge extension modification will be issued pursuant to the approved justification and approval authority.
