PROJECT SUMMARY The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: Remove existing concrete landing, pool, fence and mow strip around current Kiddie Pool. Remove existing fence around Lap Pool. Prepare and grade soil for new slab, new Kiddie Pool slab will be independent of existing Lap Pool slab. Existing pump and filtration system located at Facility 308 will be reused for the new Kiddie Pool filtration system. Width of the new Kiddie Pool is to be 23 feet wide. Length of the new Kiddie Pool is to be 28 feet long. Maximum depth of the new Kiddie Pool is to be 18 inches. A concrete landing will be poured around the entire perimeter of the new Kiddie Pool (Refer to Figure 3). Concrete landing will have a light brushed finish. New Kiddie Pool will have a zero entry, with a ramp of slope no greater, terminating at the maximum depth. Water feature will be incorporated into new Kiddie Pool, which will require new pumps, plumbing, and electrical to be installed. Water feature must have a timed shutoff switch associated with it, suitable for operation by a child, located adjacent to Kiddie Pool. Water feature will be a low pressure vertical jet fountain system, that maintains a fountain height of approximately 12 inches. Pressure must be suitable for toddlers and young children. All exposed plumbing, drains, grates and jet fountains in the new Kiddie Pool must be child safe and child proof in accordance with ANSI standards. The new Kiddie Pool floor shall be coated with a non-slip coating. The new concrete Kiddie Pool shall be finished to industry standards. Construct a new 4 foot tall, 11 gage, black vinyl coated chain-link fence around the perimeter of the new Kiddie Pool slab and existing slab of Lap Pool. Fence shall have a knuckle / knuckle - top / bottom selvage. Fence must be electrically grounded. A mow strip must be provided around the perimeter of new Kiddie Pool and existing Lap Pool slabs. Provide a minimum of 6 inches of the new pavement beyond the termination of the newly constructed fence. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor awarded will need to provide information to have business set up for payment. Also will need to fill out forms for Reps & Certs, W-9, & Authorization Agreement For Vendor Automatic Electronic Funds Transfer. If you are large business you will need to be set up on 45 days net terms and small business will be 30 days Net terms. You must also provide three References of similar like work within the past two years, and Technical Approach in your bid package. Pre-Bid to look at the site is scheduled on 6 August 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time zone.
