PROJECT SUMMARY Three existing bike shelters supporting the unaccompanied officer quarters (UOQs) are slated for replacement for the purpose of both safety and enriching quality of life of the residents. The intent is to have identical bike shelters at each of the UOQ facilities. Location and details of the new shelters to be replaced are in the drawings. See project specifications section 0110 00 summary of work. The bidding options are described in the project specifications. Replacing the existing shelters with "identical" shelters mean the new shelters should match the size, color, shape and materials of the existing shelters, sheet photos sheet s201. New shelters can vary slightly in dimension, but should readily match the existing shelters. Product proposed for replacement must be approved by the engineer. Refer to the attached project specifications for additional details. Schedule c and schedule f provide specifics on project bid items and contract period. In summary, provide bids for four bid alternatives: Bid Alternate #1- furnish and install three custom or prefabricated bike shelters at facility 637, 638, 639 that match the existing shelters 636 and 640, per the attached plan. Bid Alternate #2 - furnish and install three, identical, prefabricated bike shelters to the existing concrete pads at facility 637, 638, and 639. Bid Alternate #3 - furnish and install five, identical, prefabricated bike shelters to the existing concrete pads at 636, 637, 638, 639, and 640. Bid Alternate #4 - concrete ramps at existing pads. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor awarded will need to provide information to have business set up for payment. Also will need to fill out forms for Reps & Certs, W-9, & Authorization Agreement For Vendor Automatic Electronic Funds Transfer. If you are large business you will need to be set up on 45 days net terms and small business will be 30 days Net terms. You must also provide three References of similar like work within the past two years, and Technical Approach in your bid package. Pre-Bid to look at the site is scheduled on 11 February 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Central time zone. Award will be contingent upon approval of funds, reference checks, D&B rating, and low cost acceptable.
