IT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations paragraph 15.201 (e.), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Force Protection Division of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/HBU) is located at 3 Eglin Street Hanscom AFB, MA 01731. This notice is for information and planning purposes only. In accordance with Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, the Government is conducting market research to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources in providing a capability to procure, integrate and install systems that meet the Government’s requirements. This Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract. Proprietary information will be accepted and handled appropriately. Responders should indicate which portions of their responses are proprietary and should mark them accordingly. The Government is not obligated to and will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The Force Protection Division is interested in your experience with the design and installation of Integrated Base Defense Security System (IBDSS) physical security and force protection Remote Target Engagement Systems (RTES (designed by Sandia National Laboratories)) and Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include system integration capabilities for Protection Level 1 Nuclear (PL 1N) resources electronic security systems, equipment, and system integration capabilities for Protection Level 1 Nuclear (PL 1N) resources. This RFI seeks to identify industry capability to provide a fully integrated PL 1N RTES and ESS able to provide for a means to deter, anticipate, deny, detect, report, delay, assess, and track hostile, and potentially hostile, forces and targets for the protection of resources, work environments, and personnel, and if necessary, a means for final denial to prevent access to resources.
