INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT: The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Europe District is soliciting proposals for a design-build project for construction and renovation of a facility in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. solicitation includes basic design criteria, and the USACE intends to award a resulting contract to a single design-build construction contractor that will complete the 100% design and construct the project. PROJECT LOCATION: GPS coordinates: Latitude 33°00’07.20“S, Longitude 27°54’42.48“E. (Refer to the attached Location Map.) 4. HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: Proposals must be prepared and submitted according to the instructions within the contract solicitation (plus amendments). The online presentation contains detailed information on how to register to do contract work for the US Government, how to read and understand a USACE solicitation, and how to do construction work for the USACE. Pre-Proposal Site Visit. The Government will hold a pre-proposal site visit. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Details are as follows: a. Registration Instructions: Offerors must pre-register their attendees no later than 4NOV2023. Offerors MUST pre-register in order to attend the site visit. IMPORTANT: Any individuals planning to attend must register in advance with their full name, organization name, job title, and passport information or they will not be permitted access to the sites—please use the attendee information sheet attached to the RFP.
