This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This competition is open to all businesses (full and open competition). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect in Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-03 dated 16 Feb 2021 and Defense Publication Notice 20210224 dated 24 April 2021. The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) has a requirement for one (1) Cytiva AKTA Pure 25L protein purification system, including a sample pump, an air sensor, a fraction collector, an I/O box, and UNICORN 7 software. All users in the lab and the department were trained for operating AKTA purification systems and UNICORN software, and the current AKTA systems are unrepairable and discontinued.
