This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This competition is open to all businesses (full and open competition). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 334510 - Electromedical and Electro therapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. This solicitation incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect in Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-06 dated 06 May 2020 and Defense Publication Notice 20200408 dated 08 April 2020. Requirement Description The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) has a requirement for two (2) SonoSite Edge II ultrasound replacement machines with all associated components. These machines are currently in use by USU’s Military and Emergency Medicine (MEM) department, and brand consistency is needed to maintain training standards.
