The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition (AQ) office anticipates issuing a solicitation for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS). Services include vessel loading, vessel discharging, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, customs clearance, yard management, and handling of Government provided securing material in support of Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) 839th Transportation Battalion at the Port of Tombolo Dock Pisa, Italy. The contractor shall provide sufficient qualified labor, gear equipment and materials to fulfill the requirement. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 488320. The period of performance begins 1 August 2020. USTRANSCOM anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a 5 year ordering period of performance from 1 August 2020 through 30 July 2025 with a six-month extension from 1 August 2025 through 31 January 2026. Release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) should be available on BetaSam.gov (www.fbo.gov) on or about 28 April 2020. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by USTRANSCOM/TCAQ. The solicitation shall be posted in its entirety at this website.
