Contract Number: HTC711-16 D-R014, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties the USTRANSCOM Acquisition Directorate anticipates awarding a 12-Month contract extension for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) to Portus Services LLC at the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source can satisfy the S&RTS requirement at MOTSU to prevent an unacceptable delay or interruption of services that would jeopardize the secure deployment of military personnel and cargo during missions and unforeseen emergencies. The general scope of S&RTS at MOTSU includes receipt, processing, and/or loading /discharging of ammunition and explosives and other DTS sponsored cargo. It covers the full spectrum of handling services from cargo reception to disposition, including cargo documentation, stuffing and unstuffing containers, explosive sampling, cargo transfers, in-transit storage, and processing cargo for simultaneous shipments via multiple surface modes of transportation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 488320, Marine Cargo Handling. The period of performance for this effort includes a six-month base period with two three-month option periods. Base Period: 1 March 2022 – 31 August 2022 Option Period 1: 1 September 2022 – 30 November 2022 Option Period 2: 1 December 2022 – 28 February 2023
