This requirement is to provide samples from septic and non-septic burn patients along with expertise for the assessment of biomarkers of sepsis for refinement and validation of SeptiBurnAlert. The Contractor shall provide blood samples collected in specialized tubes as requested by the COR from septic and non-septic burn patients along with necessary non-identifiable clinical information. The Burn Center of Loyola University shall maintain an Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved protocol for the collection of coded human samples and ship those samples to the WRAIR for analysis of biomarkers after WRAIR non-human subject research approvals.
