The United States Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) requires a custom-built Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Knee Milling Machine, which contains a Knee Mill and CNC Upgrade Kit. The primary use of this machine is to incorporate larger pieces of equipment that cannot currently fit within the on-site CNC Milling Machine; examples include Body Coolers, Surgical Devices; Large Piece Machine. The CNC Knee Milling Machine will provide computer controlled subtractive manufacturing of metal and plastic stock for the purpose of developing medical prototypes.
